California's Burnin' Again

Last week there were 8 separate fires in California. Air quality alerts were being issued in Las Vegas because of the smoke blowing in from California. That's wild!

The worst part is that the "official fire season" isn't until October, which is when the warm dry winds of the Santa Ana start blowing.

I have a bunch of friends who live in California and are on FaceBook. Only one of my friends has actually mentioned that the smoke is pretty unpleasant. Everyone else seems to be in some mystical LaLaLand. Who cares if it's all burning ...... We're in California!!!! Yipppeeee

Last weeks Time magazine had an article about the fires. I was surprised when they said that one of the reasons the fires were so bad in California is because "there are more people to start them". Well, as wild as this may sound... it's true. The fires in California ARE NOT a natural, normal occurrence in nature, such as a hurricane or tornado. These are fueled by evil intent. Yea, sounds like just the right kind of place to live.

We'll just keep our fingers crossed and pray for every one's safety.

Has Mercury in Retrograde Been Kicking Your Ass?

As I noted in a post from last week... anything that occurs during this Mercury in Retrograde is a "course correction".

The wild fires in Santa Barbara started the moment Mercury went Retrograde. For the people who lost their homes, while on the surface it appears sad and tragic... they will be happier in their next home.

Lots of my friends have recently, in the last few days, gotten the pink slip on their job. They weren't all that thrilled with the jobs and did have hopes and dreams of another career. This course correction has occurred so that they can seize the opportunity to really be doing the job that they have a passion for.

Relationships have blown up and ended. While matters of the heart are generally sad, chances are it wasn't the relationship you thought it would be nor the kind of relationship that you want in your life. If you try to hang on to something that has ended... be prepared for something bigger and worst to happen in your life. The Universe wants to make sure that you are on the right path. Chances are you ignored the signs last month so this month they are showing up as posters and if you don't get it... they'll be billboards in your face.

Mercury went retrograde 7 days ago... and it's already kicked ass. Hang in there we have 2 1/2 more weeks to go.

The more relaxed and flexible you are at this time... the better. Know that no matter how bad it feels this month... next month will be a lot better.

Fire Season Has Arrived!!!!

I don't know if the fire season is here early or not.

There is a wild fire burning in Santa Barbara. Currently it has burned 150 acres. Santa Barbara is 1 hour north of Woodland Hills.

The beginning of the year Australia had wild fires burning. It was the worst that they had seen in about 100 years. A friend of mine sent me some pictures with a tag line that said "Like Wow These Fires are Really Bad". My friend also lives in the San Fernando Valley, where I live. I emailed him back and said "Dude, I don't think there is anything spectacular about those pictures. We have fires here that destroy people's homes and lives every year." He emailed back that I had turned into a "Fire Jaded Chick"....lol....lol

Count down has begun to when I roll out of here. Funny, I will be leaving the exact same weekend that I arrived 23 years ago.
